This class empowers students to deal with all types of conflicts through a step-by-step process. Students also learn how to conduct family meetings. Other topics covered are inner conflicts, peer pressure, diversity issues, the mediation process, national, international conflicts, and world peacemakers. Students learn how they can contribute to peace and harmony in today’s world. Students have the opportunity to become mediators, which is an impressive credential to include on their resumes. You have the opportunity to explore positive, peaceful ways of dealing with inner conflict as well as conflict with others. Mediators work with two or more students who are involved in a conflict by guiding them to a mutually acceptable resolution without telling the disputants what to do.
